SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED

Matthew Kramer Architects provides general architectural services which are typical to most development projects. In addition, Matthew Kramer Architects can provide special services and sensitivity that are particularly relevant to the place for worship. Outside consultants will be brought on as necessary, hired directly by the owner, or as a consultant to the architect, or as part of a design/build team with the general contractor.

On large-scale religious projects, Matthew Kramer, with extensive experience in ecclesiastical architecture, will lead the design team as project architect.

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROVIDED:

conducted by the design team to facilitate the active participation and involvement of the church in the design process.

ANALYSIS AND REFINEMENT OF PROGRAM
in order to define fully both quantitative and qualitative needs.

COORDINATION OF LIGHTING DESIGN/CONSULTING COORDINATION OF ACOUSTICAL CONSULTING
during all phases of the project, including establishing criteria, programming and design as related to room acoustics, architectural noise control and mechanical noise control.

COORDINATION OF ORGAN DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
with all design disciplines.

COORDINATION OF ART GLASS DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
with the church and/or liturgical consultant to solicit, interview and select potential artists and further coordinate the installation of art glass in the project.

COORDINATION OF LITURGICAL FURNISHINGS AND INTERIOR DESIGN
with the church and/or liturgical consultant to assure that all furnishings are designed, bid, constructed and installed in coordination with building construction and interior design concepts.

PRESENTATION MATERIALS
which may include models, perspective drawings and graphic exhibits to study and present design solutions to the parish and local officials.

SERVICES WHICH MAY BE PROVIDED BY OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS:

Outside services to be contracted directly with the owner include services for:

  • Environmental Studies and Reports
  • Surveying
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Outside services to be contracted directly with the owner, the architect or general contractor (in the case of a design/build sub-contract) include:
